· Discuss your recommendation for therapy. What are the primary tasks for therapy in order for this family to move into ongoing recovery?

Follow APA format- 4 pages.

Parenting teens. Hm. I describe teenagers as  “2 year-olds in big bodies.” Their developmental milestones are not very different from the toddler, really. They tend to think they are the center of the universe. They want to stand on their own two feet. And you as the parent must not be seen with them. They are separating from the parental unit and gaining more independence. I remember driving my 14 year-old daughter to the mall. She said, “Drop me off here. I don’t want my friends to see you.” 🙁

What’s really tough for parents is the fact that adolescence is the most dangerous time of their lives–hormones, driving, sex, alcohol, hormones, drugs, first important romantic relationships, hormones. We want to hold them closer and wrap them in cotton, while simultaneously, they want to get away from us! Tough few years for teens and parents, at least in Western society.

You’ll have some choice in your research and posts this week. Please find the most recent research and demographic data to include in your post. Here are the topics from which you can choose:

1. Parenting the teen on the autism spectrum

2. Parenting the teen who just came out to you as being something other than heterosexual

3. Parenting the teen who is being bullied at school

4. Parenting the teen who is addicted to alcohol or other drugs

5. Parenting the teen who is always angry, doesn’t listen, and constantly fights with you

In your post, tell us how common this is, causes, resources (including at least one resource in your own community & tell us what they offer), and the strategies you would use in reaching out to your teen. Please cite and reference your sources in correct APA format

Use the list of privilege to identify areas in your life where you are aligned with and benefit from dominant culture.  Discuss how your privilege can undermine your work with clients and how you can leverage it to support their needs.

The purpose of this assignment is to research one of the topics you have covered in this course. You will collect 10 scholarly research articles written within the last  10 years on a particular topic related to sex and sexuality (i.e. pornography, extramarital affair, teen pregnancy, homosexuality, etc.).

Articles should come from scholarly research sources. You will then write and submit a 10-page paper with the following 3 main sections relevant to these articles:

1. Article Summaries: Summarize the main points of the selected articles.

2. Compare and contrast the information presented in the articles with the content presented in class.

3. Explain how a therapist may use this information on your topic to help a client define healthy sexuality and how having that understanding can help the client make wise decisions in their relationships.

Papers will be written in current APA format and should include a title page, abstract, and reference page which are not part of the 10 body pages of the paper.

The paper should be a minimum of 10 pages of content (this does not include title page, abstract, or reference page).

How has the media (books, movies, internet, etc.) contributed to or perpetuated the negative beliefs and misinformation about the woman population?  Your answers to these questions should be explained in a paper of approximately 1-1.5 pages. Your paper will be evaluated using standards below:

Respond to each of the 3 attached discussions. Each one hi lighted in yellow and marked Response 1, 2, and 3.

Each response must be 150 words or more.

In reference to the discussion you did for me earlier this week.

#1. Describe how individually-focused group therapy influenced family therapy and how family therapy has morphed into a relational and systemic approach.

#2 Given the commonality of blended families, how do you decide who should be included in family therapy? What ethical considerations need to be made when determining who to involve in therapy? What are some ways in which confidentiality and third-party reimbursement challenges may be navigated?

In the chapters for the week, you read about three theories of cognitive development during the early childhood years (Piaget, Vygotsky, and the information process approach). TEXT: EXPLORING LIFESPAN DEVELOPMENT BY: LAURA E. BERK. THIRD EDITION – CHAPTERS 7 & 8

For this discussion board, let’s make some practical applications of the theories. Make a list of 4-5 actions (what you can “do”)  to enhance cognitive development based on each of the theories. Review the Berk discussion on the following three cognitive theories and think of actions you could perform with children to enhance cognitive development based on each of the theories. Then tell us why those actions are important based on the theory (cite correctly).

So, set it up this way.

1.action one (with explanation)

2. action two  (with explanation)
